“City Girl”
Acrylic on canvas, 4 x 2 “City Girl” embodies every Black woman looking toward her future, dreaming higher than the tallest skyscraper. Inspired by the artist’s desire to be photographed with this specific aesthetic, the piece was born out of a deeper realization that the artist’s vision was best expressed through painting. By translating her imagination onto the canvas, “City Girl” captures the essence of ambition and beauty unique to Black women.
